Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think..

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
It's time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids.

What in "Hell" happened ? Can you spell 'politicians ?'

I hope this goes around Australia at least 100 times !

YOU can help it get there !

GO AHEAD - - - be an Australian !

And what does bloody Rudd and his Labor Government want to bring in ?

The ETS just the biggest bloody Tax of all time!

hi all

I asked a friend of mine who is a Greens candidate (don't know what one is referred to when not an election time) .. anyways this was what she said regarding the above ...

"The ETS is not a tax. We have to put a price on carbon via a market mechanism, in order to make renewable energy more competitive with coal based sources.

This is being promoted by Tony Abbott, who was part of the team that brought in the big tax - the GST. "No we'll never have a GST." "

thought you may all be interested :) I was a little unsure about sending out the email ... but the sense of it if not the accuracy is true  now to go read about ETS

The Rudd governments proposed ETS itself is not a tax but they need to increase taxes on certain things in order to raise the funds for the system to work. IE, current taxes have to go up in order to get the money to pay for the carbon they intend to buy and store.

Oh yeah, there's another problem... how and where are they going to "store" it ?
